Daniel H. Hall Scholarship
The Beta Omicron Chapter of Sigma Chi Fraternity Corporation Board invites the undergraduate members of the Beta Omicron Chapter to apply for the Daniel H. Hall Scholarship Award.
This year's award will follow the same structure as previous years, and is administered online by the Beta Omicron Chapter Corporation Board.
- Two (2) primary scholarships funded by the Daniel H. Hall Endowed Fund
- Separate evaluation criteria for under- and upperclassmen candidates
- Chapter role in the nomination of underclassmen candidates
The endowed scholarship was originally established in 1985 by the family and friends of Daniel H. Hall. It is the Hall family's intent to provide for an ongoing series of financial scholarship awards to one upper class and one under class undergraduate member of the Beta Omicron Chapter of the Sigma Chi Fraternity on an annual basis. Selection of the awardees will continue under the criteria originally established for the scholarship and predicated upon applicant response to the essay questions defined on this site, to be evaluated in balance with applicant GPA, as determined by a selection committee of alumni coordinated by the Corporation Board.
The Daniel H. Hall Memorial Endowed Scholarship, awarded through the evaluation of undergraduate scholarship applications, is intended to honor Daniel's exemplary interest in fraternal involvement, support of the broader university community, and academic accomplishment.
The scholarships are funded from annual interest earned by the Daniel H. Hall Endowed Scholarship Fund and will be distributed to the winners via tuition credit in the Fall semester. The amount of each scholarship will be equal to one half of the funds available for distribution which are expected to total $2000 in scholarships. ($1000 for each award).
